Term 4 Goals

Greenhouses,Term 2

Last week we made greenhouses to help our seeds grow because we are doing a project on seeds and farming. Our company name is Seeds'R'us and we have gone to some farms to check out what they do on real farms. There were lot's of cool things to help out around the farm there was even one for measuring the height of the grass!   We also will be doing a lot more work on our seeds this term and the next and possibly Term 4 as well. Term 3 Goals

Hello!, My name is Sophia and these are my Term 3 goals . (Almost) Every week we do goals
 ( you would know this if you have read my other blog) every week we do some goals and a quote. And then review on the week befores goals and then we write  some new goals and write down what we think the new quote is about. so here are my goals ;)

Daffodil Day...

Today was Daffodil Day, we buy Daffodils to remember and hope that the people who are sick, dying,or are already dead from Cancer. When I got to school today, I went into the school office to buy a daffodil for Daffodil Day, and there was already a long que of children lining up to buy Daffodils and also a bunch of children leaving the office with fistfuls of faux Daffodils in their hands. Almost as soon as I left the office, the bell went for the start of school, and we were all ushered into the school hall to watch a trailer about Daffodil and to take a photo. Science Fair Night

On Tuesday, we had our science fair presentation night. It was a lot of fun, there were heaps of posters and science boards!  There was even one about a bendy chicken bone! My science project was about blowing up a balloon with the gas from vinegar and baking soda are mixed together in a bottle while a balloon is placed on top and inflated. This is a picture of a slime 'exhibit' about  what happens when different things are mixed into the slime , some of the things in them were: paper towels, dirt , and clay. Mrs Hannah was our judge, she walked around the whole room looking at every single ( and duo) persons science project and poster. My science project wasn't admitted on the night but, Mrs Hannah said that if I took it home and did a little bit more work on it, then she would let me go into Regionals!
P.S I did!

Term 3 Maths Grid Results

Here is my Maths Grid Results for Term 3, I am getting so much better at my times tables and getting quicker at writing all the numbers down on paper. We have two new people from Beijing, China,
who are staying here for two weeks, John and Cutie. They are both absolute whizzes at maths and John got everything right, in just under 4 minutes, the same goes for Cutie.
